Birth Doula Labour Support Package ($500)
All of our packages come with a free consultation meeting so you can decide if our services are right for you.
As your doula, we will meet with you before your birth to discuss your specific wishes. It is important that we have an idea of your needs and that you get the opportunity to know us before the big day. During birth, we will provide continuous, compassionate, uninterrupted support to you and your partner by providing non-pharmacological pain relief measures such as breathing and relaxation techniques, massage, and positioning that will increase your comfort. We also provide you with information concerning the course of your labour and your options for birth. We provide informational, emotional, physical and partner support while you are in our care.
- 2 prenatal visits for birth preparation and planning
- Assistance in developing a birth plan and a discussion of your preferences
- Explanation of medical procedures and interventions before and during birth
- Facilitation of communication between members of your birth team
- Non-pharmacological pain relief measures including massage and other comfort techniques
- Positioning suggestions during labour and birth
- Encouraging and instilling confidence in your partner to be involved in your labour and birth support
- Help avoiding unnecessary interventions
- 1 to 2 hours of postpartum/breastfeeding support directly following the birth
- 2 postpartum visits
- Breastfeeding support until two weeks postpartum
- 24-hour on-call support from the time of booking until two weeks following the birth
** additional prenatal / postnatal visits as well as overnight stays are available at an additional cost
